Cinzia Caporale

Cinzia Caporale heads the Rome branch of the Istituto di Tecnologie Biomediche and coordinates the CNR’s Committee for Research Ethics and Bioethics. A lecturer in bioethics at “La Sapienza” University in Rome, she is a member of the National Bioethics Committee (PM’s office) and Chair of the Ethics Committee of IRCCS L. Spallanzani and that of the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi. She has been Chair of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Bioethics Committee for two terms. She is editor of the scientific magazine “The Future of Science and Ethics”. She writes for “Il Sole 24 Ore”.
