Jean Pisani-Ferry

He is Senior Professor of Economics and Public Management at the Hertie School of Governance, and has served as Commissioner-General for Policy Planning since 2013, reporting to the French Prime Minister. He helped found the Brussels-based economic think tank Bruegel in 2005 and served as its director. He has taught at Université Paris-Dauphine, Ecole Polytechnique and the Université libre de Bruxelles. Among other things, he has published: A qui la faute? (with S. Mahfouz), Fayard (2016); The Euro Crisis and its Aftermath, Oxford University Press (2014); Le réveil des démons: la crise de l’euro et comment nous en sortir, Fayard (2011).
